Death Doula

Who are we?

“Death Doula” is a community of people who create a space of honest presence around life, dying, and loss. We work so that everyone has access to support, knowledge, and simple human warmth at the moments when it is needed most.

We are nearby—truly

In the “Death Doula” team there are trained specialists who undergo specialized training on death, grief, palliative support, and crisis care. In addition to personal support, we hold lectures, trainings, and public events so that as many people as possible can learn to speak about loss openly, with respect and love. All our specialists undergo specialized training on death, loss, grief, PTSD, palliative accompaniment, and emotional support. We cooperate with palliative departments, hospices, charitable foundations, rehabilitation centers, and educational institutes. We are not a medical or ritual service. We are people who stay nearby: we listen, help make sense of terms and processes, explain complex things in simple language, support the family in making decisions, and prepare for farewell in a dignified and warm way. We are about attention, humanity, concrete actions, and respect for boundaries.
